Before I tell you about my favorite books to read out loud let me tell you about the "Read Aloud Handbook" by Jack Trelease. This is the bible for reading aloud! If you want to know why reading aloud is important read this. Then, if you want great recommendations on what to read keep reading it. Now for my favorites. Since my kids had the audacity to grow up I have to go to schools to read my favorite picture books. I favor books with lots of dialogue and pigs. I don't know why but pigs are really great characters. Making some Noise: A local eccentric can be heard reading lines from the books on some of the following pages.
